New ‘HEIDI’ Software

We are using a new transcription software to assist us with record keeping.
This is called Heidi AI and is widely used in many GP Practices.
Heidi AI does not store audio recordings but intelligently transcribes the consultation between GP and patient into note form.
The notes are copied into the patient record and then deleted.

The benefits of this are:
To allow the clinician to entirely focus on the patient during the consultation instead of trying to type at the same time
It improves the accuracy of the written record.
It will allow time, that would be spent on administrative tasks, to be used for patient care.

Data Protection:
Heidi employs robust and strict access controls, only clinicians have access to sensitive information. It is GDPR and NHS-compliant and the information management systems are ISO27001 accredited for data security. All data is hosted in the UK.
Patients can decide not to consent if they prefer that HEIDI is not used. Your clinician will check this with you at the beginning of your consultation.
